Description: Large windows, bright lights, chair, person, tile floor.
Interpretation: The high contrast makes the lines more prominent. The tiles also have lines drawing the attention to the center, not the man sitting.
Judgement: The picture shows patience or maybe the emptiness at perhaps an airport..? It demonstrates patience. Whether its patience to wait for family to arrive or for a plane to take you to your family or some sort of business. It could also demonstrate emptiness. There is nobody else there but the one person.
I believe that this photo also represents shape, the lines bring out the shapes of the tile, to let you know its tile, same with the windows/glass. I also believe that texture plays a big role too. The way the lines are drawn and the way the shading was done makes to were you feel like your there with the man and it makes you feel like you can feel the tile and how smooth and slick it is.
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a photographic artwork mainly consisting of lines and those lines create negative space. There is also contrast created by the light in different areas. It makes you wonder what kind of building it is or where is it located due to the fact that it looks rather incomplete focusing on one section.
