Throughout the day, carry a little notebook with you or use the "Notepad" app on your cell phone to record the art objects you come in contact with throughout the day. Don't just let it be an after thought - purposely look around you wherever you are and take note of the forms of FINE ARTS, CRAFT, and DESIGN you see. Today on my way to school and at school I saw design everywhere from the veichles on the road, the warning and street signs the buildings of business and resturaunts, thier architecture and advertisement. Ounce at school I noticed the chlothing the students wore thier accessories such as backpacks and purses. The fine art I noticed was the brass or bronze sculpture of the roadrunner in front of the school along with the sculptures and paintings in the library down to the art on the cover of one of my textbook.
ReplyDeleteThe crafts I had to look harder for away from home because my house is loaded with them, from wicker basckets to pottery and wooden furniture.
I went to my sister and brotherinlaws place of business and found crafts from the glass jar holding candy to a wooden message tote that was carved. The fine art was from a painting that I had done to a painting my nephew had done when he was in school, for Houston Livestock show and Rodeo which won him a blue ribbon for his age group. There was a stain glass picture in the window of a cross. It bieng a place of business there was to much design to count or you would want to read from the tires and wheels they sell to the magazines on the waiting area table.
